Price Changes and Special Discounts

In this guide, we will cover the steps to applying Price Changes and Special Discounts via your ePOS Hybrid Operator App.

Price Changes apply for specific items only, while Special Discounts are used to apply a discount over an entire order.

PLEASE NOTE: Price Change and Special Discount need to be enabled as a permission for the operator on Staff Management - if these are not enabled, authorisation will be required from a member of staff with these permissions in place. Refer to our Staff Management guides for assistance in setting up Permissions.

Firstly, open your ePOS Hybrid Operator App.

To apply a Price Change, select the specific item on the customer’s order so the item is highlighted in gray, then tap the Price Change button.

This will open the Price Change pop-up, allowing you to set the required Price Change. There are four options: Amount allows you to enter the new price for the item, % Disc allows you to apply a percentage discount, and the Free and Half Price options update the price accordingly - Half Price has been selected in the screenshot below.

Once you are ready to proceed with the Price Change, tap the Submit button at the bottom of the pop-up to apply the Price Change.

Next, let’s review the process to apply a Special Discount to an order.

To apply a Special Discount for an order, proceed to the Payment Screen.

Once on the Payment Screen, select the Special Discount icon on the right-hand side of the screen to open the Special Discount pop-up.

Special Discounts can be applied on either the entire order, or for all non-alcoholic items. Once this option has been selected, choose to apply the Special Discount either by monetary amount or percentage discount. Once entered, tap Submit to apply the Special Discount.

Once the discount has been applied, the amount will be listed in the Payments section on the bottom-left corner of the Payment Screen.
