Interactive Menu Management: Promotions

In this guide, we will display the steps required to add Promotions via Interactive Menu Management on your ePOS Hybrid Admin Panel. Interactive Menu Management is an alternative to the standard method of adding/amending your Promotions, allowing a live preview of your Menus, Categories and Items prior to refreshing your Operator App with the changes.

To begin, access your Admin Panel via either https://www.eposhybrid.uk/ on an internet browser or via your ePOS Hybrid Operator App by selecting Extras, scrolling down to App Actions and selecting Admin Panel. Please note that if the user logged onto the Operator App does not have the Admin Panel permission setting enabled, this option will not be available. Please refer to our Staff Management guide on the ePOS Academy for further guidance on setting Permissions.

Once logged into your Admin Panel, select Interactive Menu Mgmt on the left-hand side of the screen, followed by Interactive Menu Adding.

 

The Interactive Menu Management screen will now open, allowing you to create your Promotions.

To add a new Promotion, select the Create Deal button to open the pop-up detailing the available options:

Meal Deal, Query Deal, Happy Hour and Mix & Match.

 

This guide will cover the steps for each promotion type, and will start with the Meal Deal option.

Select Meal Deal from the available options to open the Add Meal Deal screen. Enter the Deal Name in the first textbox, then specify which Menu and Category you wish the Meal Deal to appear in. Use the next two checkboxes to specify the Short Name and Deal Price. An Image can also be added to the Meal Deal using the Select an Image button if required.

The next section - Meal Structure - allows you to add the relevant Categories/Items to your Meal Deal. Firstly, enter the Combination Title - this is what will appear when the Meal Deal is selected. After the Combination Title has been entered, press the large + icon to open the sidebar allowing you to search for the relevant Category or individual Items. Select the relevant checkboxes then press + Add All to add the Categories/Items. Repeat the process until you have all relevant options for the first combination, then enter the allowed Quantity in the textbox.

After you have specified the items in the first combination, press + Add a New Combination to add a second level to the Meal Deal.

Repeat the same process as the first Combination as many times as required to build your Meal Deal. Use the Deal Details tab to enter a Description if required, Deal Availability to specify the Service Types the Meal Deal is available for, days/times and if Service-Wise Pricing is applicable. Use the Tax Settings tab to specify relevant VAT settings if applicable.

 

Once all the relevant settings have been selected, press the Add Meal Deal button to add your new Meal Deal. To view all Meal Deals, select Deals from the Interactive Menu Mgmt option on the left-hand side of the screen, then select Deals followed by Meals Deal. This will list all Meal Deals, allowing you to Add new Meal Deals from this screen also, in addition to options to Edit or Delete them. 


 

The next section of this guide will focus on Query Deals. From the Interactive Menu Adding screen, select Query Deal to open the Query Deal screen. 

Enter the Deal Name, Short Name and Deal Price, then scroll to the Meal Structure section to begin building your Query Deal

 

Firstly, select the Base Item by typing the Item Name in the textbox, where the list of options will appear underneath. 

Specify the Combination Title for what options you wish to provide customers when selecting the item, and use the large + icon to add the relevant Category/Items. Repeat this process until all selections are made, and specify the Quantity of the number that can be selected.

Once ready, press the Add Query Deal button to add your Query Deal and return to the Interactive Menu Adding screen. To view all Query Deals, select Deals from the Interactive Menu Mgmt option on the left-hand side of the screen, then select Deals followed by Query Deals. This will list all Query Deals, allowing you to Add new Query Deals from this screen also, in addition to options to Edit or Delete them.

 

The next section of this guide will focus on Happy Hours. From the Interactive Menu Adding screen, select Happy Hour to open the Happy Hour screen.

Firstly, enter the Deal Name in the top textbox, then specify whether the offer is Active or Inactive and select the relevant Service Types that the offer applies for using the checkboxes next to each Service Type.

 

In the Deal Availability Settings section, specify the date range that the promotion is valid for, use the checkboxes to select which Days the promotion is valid for and the From/To Time dropdown boxes to select what times the promotion will run during - normal item pricing will apply outside of the days/times selected. To add a further row of Hours if required, select the + Add More Happy Hours button to add an additional row.

Select the Add a New Option button in the Happy Hour Structure section to open the sidebar allowing you to search for the Menus/Categories/Items that will apply in your Happy Hour. Select the relevant checkboxes then press + Add All to add the Categories/Items. Once added, specify either the Percentage or Price discount applicable. If required, select the Add a New Option button again to add further Menus/Categories/Items.

 

Once done, select the Add Happy Hours button to return to the Interactive Menu Adding screen. To view all Happy Hours, select Deals from the Interactive Menu Mgmt option on the left-hand side of the screen, then select Deals followed by Happy Hours. This will list all Happy Hours, allowing you to Add new Happy Hours from this screen also, in addition to options to Edit or Delete them.

 

The next section of this guide will focus on Mix & Match. From the Interactive Menu Adding screen, select Mix & Match to open the Mix & Match screen.

Firstly, enter the Deal Name, and specify the Offer Category, Menu and Menu Category that the deal will be included in (and Short Name if applicable).

 

Within the Deal Structure section, specify the Buy Quantity of items to be purchased in the Buy Any section and use the large + icon under From to specify the Category or Items to be included. Press + Add All to add these, and repeat the process until all necessary Categories or Items are added.

Next, specify the Get Quantity of items to get as part of the promotion, and use the large + icon under From to specify the Category or Items to be included. Press + Add All to add these, and repeat the process until all necessary Categories or Items are added.

Next, specify whether the promotion has the Get item reduced by a Percentage, a Specific Price, or Free using the relevant button. Toggle the Additional Information options if required, then press Add Mix & Match to return to the Interactive Menu Adding screen. 

 

To view all Mix & Match promotions, select Deals from the Interactive Menu Mgmt option on the left-hand side of the screen, then select Deals followed by Mix & Match. This will list all Mix & Match promotions, allowing you to Add new Mix & Match promotions from this screen also, in addition to options to Edit or Delete them.

 

After adding your Promotions you can press the Back to Operator button (if accessing the Admin Panel via the ePOS Hybrid Operator App) to refresh your app to allow the changes made to take effect. To Refresh your Operator App, select Extras, then scroll down to Refresh App on the App Actions section of the page to complete the App Refresh.
