In this guide, we will cover the steps to setting up and managing Customer Retention Campaigns via MessageBird on the ePOS Hybrid Admin Panel.
MessageBird allows you to send SMS marketing messages to customers who have set up an account on your Website or Mobile App and have opted in to receive marketing communications when placing orders.
If you have not yet set up MessageBird, please follow the steps in the MessageBird Setup Guide within the Digital Marketing Hub on the ePOS Academy.
Once your MessageBird account setup is complete, please continue with the rest of this guide.
Firstly, log onto your Admin Panel at https://www.eposhybrid.uk/.
Once logged in, select Marketing, followed by Customer Retention. This will open the Customer Retention screen, allowing you to download a copy of the MessageBird ePOS Academy Guide using the Download Integration Guide button. Click the Connect to MessageBird button once your API Key and Originator fields are completed to continue.
After your MessageBird connection is complete, the full Customer Retention screen will open, listing the available balance (and the option to Add Funds), confirm the name of the Originator and allow you to Disconnect MessageBird if required.

Any created Customer Retention Campaigns will be listed on this screen, confirming the campaign Name, Applicable Discount and When the Voucher will be sent, also allowing you to Change Status, Edit or Delete accordingly.
To create a new Customer Retention Campaign, click Create New Retention on the top-right corner of the screen.
Once the Create New Retention button is selected, the Create a New Retention Programme box will appear.
Firstly, enter the Title of the campaign, followed by the period of time since a customer last ordered for the SMS to be sent. Use the Time of the SMS Send field to specify the time that the SMS will be sent to the customer, and the Percentage Discount in the Amount of Discount field.
Next, confirm how many days the code will be valid for, and finally, enter the Discount Message to confirm the content of the text message. PROMO_CODE must be included in the text in order to ensure the promo code is generated and sent to the customer, as per the example below.

Finally, click Create to complete the process and complete your campaign.
Once the Customer Retention Campaign has been created, you will return to the Customer Retention screen where the new campaign will be visible.

Clicking the Edit button will reopen the Create screen, and Delete will remove the campaign.
If you wish to Deactivate a campaign, click the switch in the Status column.
